Just wanted to pass along a link to Rich Wareham's YouTube video which I just came across yesterday. The project and "part 1" and "part 2" videos seem very nicely done, though I hope he will consider posting schematics in pdf and/or jpg format to supplement the sch file format.

Cheerful regards, Mike

Nice!

I'm a bit of a noob when it comes to electronics, what purpose does the diode serve in the reset circuit?

When the power goes down, you don't want C8 to discharge quickly through U6A's tiny input-protection diodes. D1 keeps the negative end of C8 from going more than 2/3 volt below ground on power-down, and R7 then holds the current much lower.

What's an additional VIA among friends, anyhow?

I see Rich has put up a second video:

(He has a 6502 system on a breadboard, a bus monitor circuit on a second breadboard, with an arduino nearby which allows control and examination from a USB-attached laptop)
