Got this in today.... WDC now have their SXBs generally available. Prices range from $89 for a 65C134 based board to $199 for a 65C816 based board.

The sales blurbs don't reveal much about the technical aspects of the SXBs. Two hundred dollars for the 65C816 one seems a bit steep.

I'm tempted a lot by this system and I think it has wonderful backing to start something.

Sounds good. Keep us informed.

Yes, they changed their site quite a bit... not very intuitive or friendly. They moved the details for the various boards under "Getting Started". They are a bit pricey, but then again... when I look at the cost of making up my two board set. the cost was around $150 per pair, but that's also dividing the cost of the PCBs for 3 sets. Still, they give you a head start of sorts, are expandable, etc. and have their TIDE debug port. I'm also assuming they are using the current 65C51 chips which are defective and they don't offer any level conversion from TTL. I'm sorta tempted but I've already got a decent BIOS and Monitor running on my board setup and a new higher integrated design in the works which replaces the 65C51 with a NXP chip.
