After waiting 10 years in the basement of our house I just pulled out my 4032 yesterday to check if it's still working. And it does
Even the "chirp" during reset is present and the monitor look bright and sharp.
This thing is nearly as old a I and spent the last 10 years under improper conditions, but after cleaning the surface nothing more was needed to get it back to life.
My idea is to use it as my development and testing machine for
MOUSE but therefore I need to switch it to 80 column mode.
Does anybody know how I do this?
It is an original 4032-12 (fat forty) currently running with 40 columns. There should be a way to switch this to 80 columns. It is an American model driven by a 220V to 110V converter.
