I fixed the wikipedia article on the 65C134 because it said "65816 compatible" and now I notice
the 65C134 datasheet says it too...

According to WDC's data sheet, the W65C134S consists of a W65C02S Central Processing Unit (plus ROM and so on). Presumably its '02 core has no 16-bit functionality -- it is not '816 compatible.
Hmmm... but the data sheet does list the '134 as "W65C816S 16-bit CPU compatible." Merely meaning there's an upward migration path???

I've yet to figure out how WDC does these data sheets. Sometimes they seem to be completely at sea.

I think Jeff has it: they mean to say that the '816 is a compatible upgrade to the 'C02.
