Interesting read. Quite enlightening to see how other people have tackled this problem.

I really must find the time to write up the colour decoder I made for the 6847. It decodes the outputs and creates RGB signals to drive a SCART equiped TV. It also includes a palette function so you can reprogram the colours. One day, I WILL find the time to get all the things done that I intend to!!

That's a very interesting forum. I would like to compile a list of forums like these over time, i.e. 8-bit retro hardware but not necessarily hardware limited to 8-bits, into an easily clickable list.

If I were going to start such a list I would start a thread where people could add to the links.
