I just found that on the Vintage Computer Festival Europe, happening in Munich on 28./29. april there will be a Forth benchmark challenge.

As far as I understand the benchmark programs (in forth) are a given, and the goal is to improve/optimize the forth runtime. One of the challenges actually is a 6502 emulation
