Hi!
I have a processor RP65C02G made by RICOH. I'm looking for a datasheet of this chip. I wonder how much may I overclock this chip. It works fine at 2MHz, but I need more. i.e. 6 MHz. What do you think?
Greetings.

You won't damage it by trying, so go ahead and experiment. When you reach a speed that makes it begin crashing once in awhile (most likely) or showing some kind of strange behavior without crashing (less likely), back the speed down perhaps 30%, and consider that the maximum. If it's actually marked for 2MHz, I'm sure it won't reach nearly 6MHz; but it will go the fastest with fast memory and short overall propagation delays of glue logic so the processor's external timing margins are met more easily.

Well, this circuit works pretty good in 4MHz clock.
I have another problem. Now I'm looking for a datasheet of this circuit. Original datasheet from Ricoh. Maybe someone can help me?
Cheers.

Have you tried asking Ricoh? It's worth a shot.

I emailed them once about the RP2A03G CPU (6502-compatible in the NES), and they replied that it's an "ASIC product of Nintendo" and I've have to ask them. Maybe you'll have better luck.
