Well spotted! That's a nice write-up from adafruit - and it's a very nice looking chip. It's even arguably a first because they shipped really early, and it was CMOS, with a peculiar gate structure which was both simple (cheap) to manufacture and resistant to static damage. Well ahead of its time. But an odd programming model: any register could serve as the PC. No dedicated stack!

I understand it's one of the first rad-hard processors, and there are quite a few of them in space. [Ooops-- I see it says that on the page linked above.] Performancewise it was a dog though! A friend I went to school with got into it with the Elf computer and later used the 1802 to control his senior project. With all the registers it had, he didn't need any RAM.
