I was wondering if anyone had any tips on Python? I bought a book today to give myself a crash course on it, cause my ESD Electronics CAN Bus analyzer for my project has a scripting application that uses the Python, and as such, to develop a quick application to test the theories I have on the operation codes, I decided to try my luck and to use Python.

The book specifically I got is the Real World Instrumentation with Python book,

Thank you in advance for any tips.

Dimitri

I use Python extensively. If you have specific questions, I can probably answer them directly, or at least inform you where you can find more information if I don't know myself.

Thank you kc5tja, I will keep it in mind if I need any additional assistance.

I was wondering, what do you normally use Python for?

Either website implementation (via the Django application server framework) or QA/engineering tools.

I'm also planning on using Python to explore writing an Oberon compiler as well.

That is pretty neat, I have been reading the book, doesn't seem too complicated (at least for the basic interface I want to put together now).

Also picked up a notebook so I can write notes specifically for Python cause it might be a while till the next time I use it after this project.
