They tend to be slow with small orders over the 'Net. WDC makes almost all of its income licensing IP, not peddling silicon. If you don't hear from them in a few days give them a call.

They are very good when you get their attention. We had problems with our first shipment (of a half-dozen) and they sent another - to the UK. Certainly worth a phone call (or maybe a fax for that retro feel!)

Not sure where you're located but, TRG componenets in the US is a very good supplier. I've used them. Dave is very knowledgeable about the 65xxx. I would recommend them, but you have to call to order. Last time I checked, there was no online ordering...

Only caution is that the WDC data sheets they have on their site are several years out of date.

There's also Apatco selling WDC parts. It's not very easy to navigate their website, so here are the direct URLs that are in effect as I write:

65c816: http://ncs.apatco.com/shop/index.php?productID=686

I may go through WDC. I decided to put in a request for a quote after talking to the owner. I think this is the way to get the parts I need. I'll let you all know in a couple of days or more whether I get a quote or not.

Nice Chuck!

Next time any of us talks to them next, we need to stress the reemergence of the QFP package!

It has been here all along:

http://www.westerndesigncenter.com/wdc/ ... r_Form.cfm

They don't process credit cards online so you have to FAX your credit card information in from this form to them:

http://www.westerndesigncenter.com/wdc/ ... 0Card1.pdf

If you want more than 100, I guess you have to get a quote.

Now I have to figure out the next step as I haven't bootstrapped a 65 based chip before.

The plastic leaded chip carrier (PLCC) is not the quad flat pack (QFP). The QFP is quite a bit smaller and is unfortunately nowhere to be found on that page.

I'm sorry. I should have been more specific. The information to order has been online all along.
