Very hard to read with the small font and funky color scheme. I gave up after only a few lines.

Most browsers can ignore styles: you might find 'No Style' or 'Basic Style' under 'Style' in the 'View' menu.

For text size, you'll probably find that control+ will enlarge it (and control- will reduce it)

Which is to say, although it would be nice if all sites were easy to read, it's possible to compensate when they're not.

One of the things you can do is highlight the text, do a cut and paste into your favorite word processor and then highlight the text again and change the color, font and font size.

Good point - in fact on Hackaday just now control-A was sufficient to make it readable.

Thanks for the tip. I found it. (I'm using FireFox.) On my particular monitor, dark blue lettering against a black background is extremely hard to read, yet it seems to be a popular color choice for microprocessor project web pages. Dark red is not quite as bad, but still bad. Photos look very natural though, quite a bit better than on our sons' modern hi-res LCD screens, and of course the CRT can be viewed from any angle, unlike the LCD.
