Jace - apple //e emulator

Post by BigEd »

I came across the Jace apple //e emulator when Brendan Robert (blurry) recently announced a demo he's working on.

The code is open source(LGPL) and cross-platform (Linux, OSX, Windows)

A few interesting points in the feature list:
Quote:
] PassPort MIDI support for Ultima V
] MetaCheat allows quick and easy ability to find and alter active memory
] MetaCheat also provides a live heat-map showing all RAM activity, color coded to indicate read, write or CPU execution -- Perfect for reverse engineers
] Optional Debugging rom (][DB) can be enabled for a more powerful monitor
] Super serial emulated as a tcp/ip port
] Mockingboard support, partial Phasor support

Thanks Ed! :D If anyone has any trouble with the emulator just keep in mind I'm always working on it and I'm more than happy to let people commit patches to the source if they can knock out some bugs or add some features. That's what keeps open source alive.

Or just download it and use it to play Moon Patrol or Prince of Persia. That's what my son did. ;-)
