My project is almost ready, but I have one small question. The monitor program I'm going to use was written for a MOS 6502. Will it work on the 65C02? It's a simple monitor with nothing special, but will the 65C02 run the MOS code? Most of the uP comparisions I've found, discuss the new features, but don't discuss software compatibility.

Hi!

Your 65C02 should run fine. It supports all the original 6502 opcodes and also has some added opcodes that can make coding a little easier.

I know there are many "undocumented" opcodes in the original 6502 that perform useful functions but your monitor code most likely only used the published opcodes.
