 Post subject: [136.1] c64 code on 6502
PostPosted: Sat Nov 24, 2001 5:29 pm
I came to think about running code made for the Commodore 64(6510) on a 6502 or 65C02 processor. Does anyone know if this is possible, has anyone tried it? The only difference I know about the 6510 and 6502 is that the 6510 has some sort of 6 bit I/O port.
Thanks.

It does work, the 6510 has a 6502 core.

It also has logic to tristate the busses so the VIC
chip can grab memory cycles. Code wise though it's a
vanilla 6502.
