I have been trying to get hold of Lee to discuss ehBasic licensing and found this while Googling http://www.bmdsonline.co.uk/31656412?s_source=tmnw_nwwn and this http://www.bbceng.info/Deaths/deaths.htm.

Maybe someone in the UK knows better if this is our Lee Davison.

It may well be. It seems he lived in Wales.

And only 49. What a shame. Thanks for the research PontusO.

That's very sad to hear, although I can't say I didn't suspect it, as many of us have tried to get hold of him and there was no response.

Ah man. That's too bad. A loss for the community for sure. :(

That’s very sad to read. :( Although I didn’t know him personally, I often saw his name, also on Denial the VIC-20 forum.

I communicated frequently with Lee back when I was integrating EhBASIC into the SBC-2's OS. He was always willing to help. His contribution to the hobby community in providing a well documented BASIC is outstanding.

I will always remember Lee as the guy who fixed undocumented features, never a bug!

Daryl

This is very sad news. He was helpful to me when I began integrating the IEC code into BASIC. He will be missed, definitely.

Very sad to read this. Lee helped me out enormously in the past and always made time to help out where he could. His depth of knowledge was considerable and his energy for all things 6502 never ceased to impress. A big loss in my book. RIP.

Tim.

Pardon for bringing up this old thread but I wanted to pay my respects. Lee was always very generous, knowledgeable and encouraging in our emails and I very much improved myself from his sharing with some random netizen. It's sad that he's gone so young. Thanks Lee.

I received an email from Lee Davison's daughter. She said that Lee passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 21, 2013. He was 49 years old. I conveyed our group's great respect for Lee and his outstanding contributions to our hobby. I won't post her email address here to protect her privacy but I will pass it along to anyone who wishes to contact her to pay respects. She is not a 6502 user and wasn't involved in EhBASIC development so she can't answer technical questions.
