i was basing that on the .fit file saying "96% of logic cells used", or is it the "87% MCells used" that i should be looking at?
either way you can probably fit a bit more in there but i can't think of anything useful.

changing those to PINNODE didn't seem to effect anything, the usage of resources on the CPLD is the same as with NODE.
in what scenarios would PINNODE be better than NODE? when you have a lot of unused pins?
