Hoping is nice to see in a retrocomputing forum even if a bit offtopic, I was willing to ask for some help about a nice ferrite memory board of a friend.
He has it since 35 years, but doesn't remember where it came from.
Do someone of you recognize this board or anyway can tell the computer it was related to?
Would be nice to know and will be framed with that description in case! :)
Thank you!

Welcome, and wow what a find! Can you get a close-up of the array? Or of just one quadrant. I'm wondering if it is 96x80 which is a funny size - the size might say a lot about which machine it's for. It certainly doesn't seem to be a square array, or a 2x1 sized array.

Thank you BigEd for your warm welcome! The forum and the site is very very nice! Pity that I started from the Zilog side... Anyway in this moment I'm going even more retro building a relay computer! LOL

Regarding the photo each quadrant seems 48x42 (vertical x horizontal as it is displayed on the screen). Tomorrow hope to have more details (I already asked), keep you posted!

Is there any connection to Czech(?) programmable logic controllers? I see a match for some of the numbers in this PDF:

Not that I know. We are Italian. Maybe Olivetti would be an option

Welcome. I had a technician 30+ years ago who had worked years previous at a place that made core memory. As he was telling me about it, I was impressed with how much denser it could be than I had thought.

Anyway, join us over on the AnyCPU forum which is a good place for your relay computer. This one here is specifically a 6502 forum. AnyCPU is for any others, and much of the conversation centers around making one's own custom processor. A relay computer would be very interesting. :D

What's an additional VIA among friends, anyhow?
