This project (the Carte Blanche Atto) on Steve Howell's AppleLogic site might be stuck at the prototype stage:

(There's a bitstream to download but only a placeholder for other project information and sources.)

But it's an interesting feature set: FPGA based board, sits in the CPU socket of Apple IIe or IIc, socket for wireless ethernet, microSD, has VGA, audio and it can even host a 700MHz ARM daughterboard.

(As seen in a post "OT: FPGA for 1983 8 bit computer" by rich12345 to comp.sys.cbm)

The nanoboard .bit file in their downloads section was made 8/30/07, so maybe they did hit a snag.
