It should be able to provide more than adequate power. If my math is right, that's a 10W power supply

Right you are. 10 watts is substantially more than most of our projects will require. My meter says my POC unit draws only 220 MA, which is 1.1 watts. I could run it with some flashlight batteries. This wall wart would be able to run nine POCs and not even work up a sweat. :)
