Hi there,
I am in need of some 65C02 that are not made by Western Design Center.
I can use any frequency, 1 MHz is fine.
Any manufacturer, CMD, Rockwell, GE, GI, NEC, Commodore, etc.
It has to be CMOS and must not be WDC.
I will pay any way you prefer.

I just ordered 10 of these from Jameco. I do not have much confidence in what they sell, assuming it is all defective. If by a chance some parts might be good, that will be a pleasant surprise.

I am also getting some Microchip PROMS, ordered today from Hong Kong:

They seem to have tons of stuff, including 65C02.
Let's see what comes to me. But, so far it looks good. I asked for quotation on that web site, received at least 60 offers. I picked the guy who was not cheap, but sent me a detailed photo of the PROM.
Payment is by PayPal.

It is sad state of things that I have to resort to such extreme purchasing, when we still have a US manufacturer who is presently making 65C02 family. I wish I knew what they are doing. Or, maybe I should wish they know what they are doing. :(

The only thing I've gotten from Jameco that was bad was some pin headers that don't have the insulator put on correctly. I called them and pointed out the problem, and they said that was all they had so instead of sending me more, they'd just credit me. I've never gotten any used ICs though. I assume they're still guaranteed, otherwise the price would have to be a lot lower.

The processor in my workbench computer that runs at any speed up to 7MHz, with any speed of RAM and EPROM that's fast enough for the clock speed or faster, is WDC. Never had any problems.
