Finally got me an Apple II+. Well, motherboard only...but it's fully populated and looks really clean. So now the hunt for a case and keyboard begin. I couldn't resist...the price was really good.
Anyway, if you ignore the massive amount of RAM chips it has (48K), it's really amazing the quality and functionality of such a computer with "not that many" chips.
Yeah, it has a lot of chips but not an insane amount. If one were to build it today (using only TTL logic), I imagine the chip count could come down somewhat. (SRAM, etc.).
Too many coals in the fire...eventually I plan on getting this thing working.
