Finally got me an Apple II+. Well, motherboard only...but it's fully populated and looks really clean. So now the hunt for a case and keyboard begin. I couldn't resist...the price was really good.

Anyway, if you ignore the massive amount of RAM chips it has (48K), it's really amazing the quality and functionality of such a computer with "not that many" chips.

Yeah, it has a lot of chips but not an insane amount. If one were to build it today (using only TTL logic), I imagine the chip count could come down somewhat. (SRAM, etc.).

Too many coals in the fire...eventually I plan on getting this thing working. :-)

I have one from 1980 (flat power indicator). Just the case, lid, and keyboard (no MB or PS), B+ condition the last time I looked. Say the word and it's yours. Oh yeah, we've been through this little dance before with my Franklin Ace, which is now in Atlanta at my parents' apartment. ;-)

Hey! Yeah, I'll send you a PM about that.

On the Apple II+ case, yes please! I'd be happy to buy it from you and of course, pay shipping.

Sending a PM...

I just love getting these old things back to life.

Thanks!
