Yes, it's too bad it's not free. He's under no obligation to make it free, but when part of the purpose of using the internet is to gather, and take advantage of, and compare, a bazillion resources, it would quickly become prohibitive if we had to pay for very many.

This looks really neat. I used to pay for the Railscasts videos from Ryan Bates.

However, the issue I have is that I can't seem to find out how long the videos are? I would hate to spend $4 on a video that was 5 minutes.

They do seem a little pricey. But, I can't help to get excited that something like this exists for the C64. More than likely, I will be ordering a few videos. Even if it's just to help him out for such a venture.

Apparently they are about 5 mins. Mind you, I've seen much longer videos with a lot of filler and waffle, so 5 mins, if dense, could be a lot of information. There are some free episodes:

I actually subscribed to the weekly download. I thought I would let it run a while and see how it goes. I also purchased season 8 ($19.95).

My biggest complaint is that I wished the seasons weren't so expensive. I mean, it puts the episodes to around $2 and some change. Which isn't bad. But, for me to buy all past episodes (via seasons) would get really expensive for such a niche hobby.
