A new Commodore 64 REU (RAM Expansion Unit) cartridge is on the horizon:
Garrett's Workshop completed the architectural and timing design for an REU-compatible RAM cartridge. The architecture is simple and cheap to implement while allowing for complete REU compatibility and 16 MB RAM capacity. Technical details for the proposed architecture are available here:

Excellent :) With C64 developers finally starting to take advantage of the REU as a fast DMA device, it's nice that people who aren't lucky enough to own an original unit will have a chance to join the fun.

Darn! It's already dead! Here's a backup on archive.org from less than four months ago, meaning it was good at least that recently:

So much for that project.

There's really no need to over-react. Perhaps better to link to the repository:
https://github.com/garrettsworkshop/GW4302
I think this is an active work in progress which has, hopefully temporarily, lost its companion website.

I notice there's a nearby GW4301 project which is perhaps an earlier design. I notice it's reached a release milestone:

"geoRAM-compatible RAM cartridge for Commodore 64"
