if your wondering... we are using the 6502 emulator to make this, it needs to appear on the I/O screen.
No disrespect or anything, but this is
entirely unhelpful to us. You know just how many 6502 emulators there are? There are
at least two for
every major 8-bit home computer that has
ever had a 6502 or compatible processor in it.
Each emulated system has its own method of outputting a character to the screen.
Remember: the 6502 in and of itself
has no I/O capability built-in. It must rely on support chips to produce I/O. And if these support chips are complex to use, or if your professor wants you to use your emulator's I/O system (as not all emulators will emulate, say, a VIC-II or VDP chip; in fact, many emulators are "entirely hypothetical" virtual machines, which do not correspond to a concrete computer in the real world), then there will typically be a subroutine that you JSR to. I'm sure by now your professor has given you such tools to be able to output characters to the screen, directly or indirectly. Review your existing set of materials again, and look carefully for anything that might help you in generating screen output.
