I came across a piece of code I wrote a few years ago and left to rot because it just wasn't good enough, but I been thinking of going back to it. The code was a partially native, partially on-the-box replacement for some of the Apple ][+'s firmware.
My idea has been to write a replacement for the F800-FFFF part of ROM, which is well documented. (The odds of being able to find ANYONE who'd take on a task so monumental as cloning the other 10K from D000-F7FF, aka M$ BASIC, are next to nil, so I'm not even gonna ask.)
I'm reasonable with 65(c)02 asm, but not enough to do this. (I did my own implementation in about 90% GCC for 386 target and 10% 65C02 asm!)
-- the main goal is to not need to 'z0r roms anymore, though I do own an actual //e.
