Are there any hints, tips, or tools available for converting Z80 assembly source to 6502 assembly?

Rewrite from scratch, keeping only large-scale architecture intact. There is too little similarity for automating the process of translation.

The biggest one I can think of would be the 16 registers within the Z80. Maybe mapping them to zero page as a temp until you rewrite them out?
