This small CPLD daughterboard is inspired by recent discussion about GODIL. I have a surplus of Altera EPM7128SQC100 so I designed a small expansion board (IDECPLD) that fits the existing IDE44 edge connector so instead of a compact flash interface, I can plug in the IDECPLD and program the CPLD for specialized applications. With a carrier board that expands 2x22 2mm female socket to 2x22 2.54mm header, I can plug the IDECPLD into a solderless breadboard to support small experiments. EPM7128S is a 5V CPLD so I don't have to deal with 3.3V-to-5V conversion. EPM7128SQC100 is about $3 on UTSource. Its equivalent ATF1508ASV-15AU100 is $5.38 on Mouser so this is an affordable programmable solution for solderless breadboard.

I saw Garth's picture of RAM module that can be plugged into solderless breadboard. I like it. Here is a similar picture of CPLD for breadboard as well as compact flash for breadboard.
