After finalizing the SRAM adapter size to about 44mm x 35mm ~(1.75" x 1.5") and counting the signal/control pins used @43 pins each, I determined about 172 pins will be needed. I say 'about' because I'm giving myself some margin for error.

Forgive me, I know I'm not being 100% with an explanation of what is going on here with these adapters, but I think it will eventually be clear. I'm not doing this intentionally, just trying to develop the idea slowly and not rush. So if you look at this pic with the SRAM IC (bottom pic) and imagine it soldered to a PCB and the machine tool adapters soldered to the PCB as well, the BGA and SRAMs will be able to be mounted to similar machine tool sockets, but should have the option to use wire wrap and vector board or solder-tail type adapter as you see here for a manufactured PCB. This will allow me to go in stages without paying for a PCB and use wire wrap for testing and troubleshooting.

So the plan is to start with PCBs for the BGA and SRAMs. What I have yet to determine is the Power and Ground routing on these adapters. I am almost 100% committed for each adapter to receive it's own power not through the pins, as in a typical IC, but through a power adapter and distribute the power to the pins using the dedicated layers in each of the PCBs, SRAMs and BGA. Each adapter board will have it's own VR's, I will supply a 5VDC in for each adapter.
