I have a short write-up about it here. Also, I've added progress notes at the very beginning of the cores code with some url's in there. I've added a few things since the .b core, but this core as it is is capable of near 100MHz operation in a Spartan 6 which was my personal goal, i.e. to keep up with Arlet's original as far as speed but maximize features.

ElEctric_EyE, thanks for the links. My reading list is getting pretty heavy. You are way ahead of us here, so bear with us. I am sure having extra registers is one of those things that at some point becomes obviously important, especially since they are cheap to implement. Right now I am concerned with creating a cheap 65Org16 devboard.
