OT: Today on Hacker News someone posted an amusing 2013 article by Ken Shirriff:

Intel x86 documentation has more pages than the 6502 has transistors

The HN discussion regarding the article is here. Some of the comments reflect on 6502 design goals; others more generally pertain to the vastly increased speeds and transistor budgets our industry has seen.
