Hello, all. Can anyone supply or link me to a datasheet for the (now obsolete) W65C02 microprocessor from Western Design Center? Newer versions have an 'S' suffix (as in W65C02S) which denotes fully static operation, but I believe an older, non-S version of that chip exists.

(I had no luck here on 6502.org in the section Documents > Datasheets > Western Design Center > Older Versions ) Thanks,

Jeff

The oldest I have is 1992, and it has the S.

Originally they did not have the Rockwell instruction additions yet, RMB, SMB, BBS, and BBR, and at some point, WDC added a B (for "having the Bit instructions") to denote those later to tell the difference, then took the B back off, saying, "From now on, they'll all have those instructions, so we don't need to tell which ones do and which ones don't."

What's an additional VIA among friends, anyhow?

Perhaps one of these may help...

I believe you are looking for this:

That is the data sheet from which I was working 32 years ago when I was designing firmware for a 65C02-powered terminal server.

Oops! I just noticed GaBuZoMeu post before I did. His third attachment is the same as what I posted.

The Rockwell extensions were added c. 1992, which is when the 65C02 was converted to a static core.[/color]
