Intriguing.

Hmm, they really do mean physically flexible: chips with up to four layers of metal and only 30um thick. And a design and fabrication cycle of just two weeks.

Massively intriguing, but they also seem pretty vague about their technology and where it's going, at least from the point of view of someone who wants to at some point see manufactured some more through-hole 6526 CIA chips and similar.

Also, I'd say that they're not quite correct that, "At the time, the perceived wisdom was that computing power was not for the masses." In fact, the 6800 was designed precisely to be owned and used by the masses: Motorola anticipated that lots of members of the general public who had no particular interest in or ability with computing would have one or more of these. And that vision soon came to fruition; within a few years hundreds of thousands, possibly millions, of Americans had a 6800 or similar chip and used it daily.

(It was embedded in a car, of course.)
