Hello All 6502 experts!

Refer to my earlier message.

I have a project which I would like to outsource to any 6502 expert here. Any takers? send me a message and I shall get back to you on your email.

Brief synopsis of the project.

We manufacture packaging machines for industial usage. We have a 6502 controlled machine, where 16 spouts (each spout is contolled by a 6502 and associated I/O devices) work to fill the product in the packing bags. Each spout can be programmed for 20 parameters with help of a keypad on its face. The parameters are -
* the maximum weight to be filled in each bag
* upper limit of the weight
* lower limit of the weight.
* amount of gas to be released by the chamber for each transaction.
and many more such parameters.

There are number of transducers on each spout, and besides the abovesaid 20 parameters, other parameters have to be set manually on each controller board / transducers / IO devices.

All 16 controllers are connected to each other on a bi-directional ring (most probably it is 422A bus). The values fed into any controller can be transferred to another controller with help of a command through keypad (each controller has an ID).

At the top of the machine the output of the ring is taken out with help of a slip ring, and which passes to a box (we call this box as server) and the output of the server is RS232C interface, which when taken out to a PC, (the PC runs a DOS / Windows software), and the data of each controller is collected at the PC software.

Requirement / Scope of the Project

We want to make the communication from PC to the machine bi-directional. Presently the software can only receive the data from the machines, but can not send to it. We want to make necessary changes, so that the software in PC can program the controllers and thus one does not need to go to the machine everytime one wants to modify the parameters.

Also, we want to set all 30 parameters through this software (presently only 20 parameters can be set with help of this keypad).

-----------------------------------------

Those who are interested, pls contact me. I shall provide further code and schematic of the devices.

Thanks,

Raj
