I am building a 6502 system off a breadboard. However, when I bought the parts, the only local store that supplied this kind of thing didn't have MOS 6502s (nor 6522s), but they did have Rockwell R6502s. I know that the
R6502 is instruction set-compatible, but is it pin-compatible with the MOS
6502 (ditto for the 6522)? This is the text printed on the chip:

R6502P
R6502-11
8324

Decoding: Rockwell 6502, plastic DIP package. I don't know the rest.

Sam,

Please look in the Datasheets Archive under Rockwell. The NMOS R6502 is in the datasheet titled, "R650x and R651x Microprocessors".
