That's great! It's even better, from a teaching and learning perspective, to see the mistake you'd made, the investigation, and the fix - as opposed to having it work first time.

Having worked without an oscilloscope for the previous 3 years (I only bought it last month), I already had an inkling of what was wrong. But it was very nice to see it so clearly.
