Hi, all. I'm curious if anyone has seen this YouTube Series, Apple 2 wire-by-wire build? It's pretty recent.

The poster is a Dr. Matt Regan from Australia, and some of his code is pretty cool (he controls the whole shebang from an Arduino at the bare-metal register level).

Thanks for posting the link. That was an ambitious project.

Great find!

I think the use of wire-wrap and a logic probe will strike a chord here with some.

It seems there are, or will be, two playlists. One of them creates an Apple II using a 65C02, RAM, ROM, a few TTL and then an Arduino for high level I/O routed to and from a PC. Episode 7 has quite a good set of bugs found and fixed: we can learn a lot more from a build which doesn't work first time.

The other playlist is to create a simple-as-possible machine which then emulates a 6502. Might bear some comparison with the wonderful and successful Gigatron. (Discussed previously here and here.)
