I was enjoying a light hearted video about a certain programming language and two out-of-context images jumped out at me:

Perhaps others have seen unexpected appearances of the 6502 family that they might report?

(Not entirely unrelated, the Beeb-spotting thread over on Stardot)

I hesitate to say, as it has the potential to be a bit of a distraction! Let's say it's 24 years old and ubiquitous, and opinions on it differ widely.

May have been mentioned here in the past, but "Bender" - the robot in Futurama has a 6502 at his core ...

See e.g. https://spectrum.ieee.org/tech-history/ ... ders-brain and many more articles ...

In the first Terminator movie, the audience sees the world from the T-800’s view several times. It is well-known that in two instances, there is 6502 assembly code on the T-800’s HUD, and many sites have analyzed the contents: It’s Apple-II code taken from Nibble Magazine.

There seems to be an implication that the BCD result was deposited in Bank $00 instead of Bank $01. Are we looking at an '802 system or a similarly handicapped '816?

P.S. Also apparently on display is the implication that the '802 and '816 have non-symmetrical 10's complement integers, from -2000 to 7999 ...

Very well spotted! Maybe an 816 with only 64k of memory?
