Inspired by the thread by Druzyek...

I have been cloning the old Space Voyage game from TSC on the SWTPC 6800 onto other platforms. Old ads from TSC say a version was sold for the 8080, but I have never seen it.

Currently, versions have been built for 6502, 8080, AVR and 68K processors.

Unfortunately, there are still bugs and none of them behave identically with the original.

All run with my own emulation facilities except for the 68K version which targets the Atari ST.

Of course I have to say this but I really do mean it: this is a really cool idea! I see the 6800 in your list. Have you used the 6809 or 6309 very much?

What is your emulator like?

Thanks!

I have a 6309 processor, but have not installed and used it.

My first computer was a SWTPC 6809 kit. So, yes.

At this time, my emulators consist of just the CPU, memory and a serial port all wrapped in a command-line driven debugger.

The 6800 and 6809 emulators can boot and run the FLEX operating system.

I'm very pleased to see this, too. I'm also a multi-system guy: I own computers based on quite a few different processors, including 6800 (Hitachi MB-6885 Basic Master Jr.), 6301 (Epson HC-20), 6802 (Panasonic Jr.200), 6809 (Fujitsu FM-7 and FM77AV), Z80 (TRS-80 Model I, TRS-80 Model 100, NEC PC-6001, NEC PC-8001mkII, NEC PC-8801mkII), and of course 6502 (Apple 1 clone, Apple IIc, Commodore 64).

One thing I noticed the other day is that a Japanese guy has apparently built a cross-platform monitor program called "Universal Monitor" or "UniMon." I've not had a chance to look at it yet, but here's the command list and source code. (Google Translate may be helpful to those of you who don't read Japanese.) I do intend to have a look at it sooner or later because I'm already at the point where I am adding stuff to the Apple II monitor, and in many of my other machines the monitors are even less capable. Not to mention sometimes having truly interestingly annoying user interfaces (Hitachi I'm looking at you).

That guy also seems to have built a dozen or more SBCs based on all sorts of different processors, and at least investigated many, many more.
