Western Design Center has announced that the Eyes and Lichty programming manual has been returned to being a free download. Go to http://65xx.com/Products/Programming-Manual/ to get a copy.

If you go there via the wdc site you'll end up at a slightly different URL where it's stil charged for..

That is a nice change... fickle bunch of guys. I did notice the size is a bit smaller than the previous download but it has still typos. Example is page 404... should be STY but they are showing STX (lots of copy/paste to make this PDF). My original printed copy is larger (607 pages vs 469 pages) and doesn't have the typos.

That's why I posted the link in my message. It actually took a bit of poking around to find it.

There are a number of other typos that are actually composing errors that somehow crept in. Someone could fix those items, assuming they were motivated to do so. It would also help if the code examples were in monospaced font for better readability. However, none of that significantly detracts from the overall value of the manual.

WDC recently announced that the downloadable copy of the Eyes and Lichty manual has been reformatted to look as it did when it was published in hardcopy form. The original forward written by Bill Mensch has also been retained.

Also of note, the 65C816 data sheet that was published in 1984 is in the appendix of the republished manual.
