Funny, I was thinking the same thing when I read that. Imagine what Link could have accomplished with today's equipment.
That said, I've always liked the starkness of monochrome photography, especially of steam locomotives hustling down the track. It somehow seems more fitting for one of those beasts to be photographed in black-and-white than in color.
