Seconded. I have used bluetooth low energy once (on ESP32) and it was a nightmare. Never again.

I so wanted one of those when I was a kid!

Robots, Arduino, computer programming in general... it's all for the same reason, really. As someone already said, people like to see their creations act in the real world. It doesn't matter if the AI is dumb as a box of rocks. Seeing your creation do anything under its own power apparently satisfies some kind of psychological need. I imagine the inventors of the locomotive and other 19th century automatons got the same thrill as a kid today watching his DIY robot avoid obstacles and move about, apparently of its own volition.

They probably weren’t too thrilled when the locomotives got into a battlebot-style conflict, what we old railroaders would refer to as a “cornfield meet.” :D

All of those people rubbernecking when they could be enjoying fresh corn on the cob while they wait.

:D :D :D

What I want to know is how the wreckers managed to get that F7 out of there, it being so bent up. They probably had to use the torch on it in situ.

We had to program those LEGO robots (first generation I think) as part of our IT class at school. Was quite fun, actually.
