I am finishing up a 6502 based computer and am interested in maybe using the 65C816 for my next computer project. Anyone who has used it can you tell me what you think of it. Is it a good processor? |

Hello,
Could someone direct me to references on how to use the COP instruction and on how the VDA, VPA, VPB, and Abort lines are typically used?
There is an abundance of information on 65C816 programming but there seems to be very little on the hardware use. |

Hi all,
I know that many / most are using 6502 processors, but I've noticed a bit of a surging of using the 65816 processor, and I was hoping to find out what others are using for assemblers/compilers for their designs?

In the process of designing and editing the schematics for my ForthBox Kestrel, I realized that other folks here might want to also use a 65816 in their projects, but might not want to bother with the bus demultiplexing. Moreover, people might want to interface slower logic to an otherwise faster ru... |

If I'm not using RDY, do I leave it no connect or give it a weak pullup? Thanks!

Hi all, Here, and searches on the net reveals tons of 6502 stuff, but I was wondering if anyone had any designs or small implementations of the 65c816 cpu - specifically when it comes to dealing with the shared data/address bus? I've searched a bit, but haven't found much I can work with (either ... |

I'm looking for suggestions for an assembler and/or compiler (C or whatever) for the 65C816. Free or cheap would be best. There's lots of SNES stuff out there but the quality varies a lot. Thanks.

As I've had time, I've written an assembly source code for a very extensive Forth kernal for the 65c816. I would like to find someone who is interested in being more-or-less a "beta" tester. This code is thoroughly documented and explained, so if there's anything ... |
