It may be a while before I'm in a position to write any 6502code, and it's likely to be pretty simple stuff even then. I
intend to make the source available and if you think it is worth posting on your site then you're more than welcome.
I imagine it's a lot more work than interfacing to an XT keyboard would be. XT keyboards may be getting thin on the
ground these days though, especially if you need new ones to ship with a product! :-/
TM> Why do you want such a small ROM to boot from ?
I should be able to code an appropriate bootstrap in just a few bytes. Digging through my notes though, I'm thinking a 2816 would be appropriate. At 2Kb it's small enough to fitin the 8Kb address range of the 6504 with plenty of room ...
Can anyone recommend a small (say, 128 -> 512 byte) PROM of some kind that has tri-state output suitable for shoving on a 6502 bus? Ideally I'm looking for something that's easy to program.
MN> I should have more free time to devote to expanding the site and getting some projects off the ground (especially "Iteration 1", it has not been forgotten).
That's great to hear Mike, be sure to let us know when they become available!
MN> Jameco carried the 6504 for years but a quick search on their site didn't turn up anything. Still, you might inquire with them to see if they have any small amount of stock left.
Thanks, it's not in their catalogue but as you suggest I'll drop them an email and ...
