Re: My first 65xx PCB design way back in 1984
Nice work! Presumably the FDC sits at 0x0100 so the built-in RSC-FORTH routines can talk to it?

Re: Sontec FORTH Computer
I've gotten it running, and reverse engineered the bodge board enough to replace it with a GAL (I've written the PALASM but have not yet dropped it in, it'll require one jumper modification). This board was also largely the inspiration for the R65X1Q SBC!

Re: R65F11A FORTH Chips for Sale
Final follow-up, the seller did send the chip missing from the initial order, and the one received is also genuine and not remarked.

Re: R65F11A FORTH Chips for Sale
Seller is going to ship the one they forgot, so I feel pretty OK recommending this one if folks want to grab a FORTH chip.
Is there a PCB to plug these into? Or are you planning on making one?
I have built a board around this chip, I posted some information at http://forum.6502.org/viewtopic ...

Re: R65F11A FORTH Chips for Sale
These finally arrived! I tested them in my little R65F11 project board and they work; however, I ordered three and the seller only shipped two. I've contacted them to see if I can get the third shipped to me, as these are nice quality chips that haven't been "refurbished" (blacktopped or walnut ...

Re: DEC Scholar Modem: Runs RSC-FORTH!
Very cool! I can understand wanting to use a VT-220 instead of emulation on the SE/30 -- you do end up having to use a LK201 though :P The Scholar definitely has some features that makes it nicer to use with a dumb terminal, too.

R65F11A FORTH Chips for Sale
Not my listing, and they're coming from China so who knows, but:

I've ordered three for myself, I'll test them in one of my projects once they come in, if folks want to wait on that before they pay. Usually I won't buy ICs from China, but these never come up!

Re: DEC Scholar Modem: Runs RSC-FORTH!
Wouldn't be surprised! A friend who used to run a printer repair business said he's seen a lot of Rockwell QUIPs in old line printers, too.

Looks like BBCode IMG tags are off. What's up with that?

DEC Scholar Modem: Runs RSC-FORTH!
Writeup here: http://www.glitchwrks.com/2022/10/25/dec-scholar
I picked up two of these last year because the lot came with the power adapter, which most of these seem to be missing. It's a triple-voltage wall wart (pinout in the writeup). I was expecting just another 2400 BPS non-Hayes command set ...

Sontec FORTH Computer
ITI Audio/Sontec is known for world-class analog mastering equipment, but in the 80s they designed and prototyped a FORTH computer based on the Rockwell R6500 series CPUs:

Re: KIM-1 Boards of the Past
I don't know if anyone has ported FLEX, but it should certainly be possible. With the CP/M versions, they of course boot in 6502 mode, but more interestingly, kick over to 6502 mode for the disk I/O routines! On the OSI, the floppy controller is very...primitive. It's basically a 6850 ACIA and some ...

Re: KIM-1 Boards of the Past
Unfortunately mine is not one of yours. It's a Rev G.
And it has some seriously bad soldering on the underside that I am going to fix at some point....
Yeah, that's what I've got now, a Commodore branded Rev G. Works the same, and no ROR bug like you get with some of the no-rev boards...but also ...
