Re: 28Cxxx EEPROM Programmer
Would it be possible to add the clone arduinos uno and nano? I believe that they are define as usb-serial ch3440.

Re: 28Cxxx EEPROM Programmer
I figured that wasn't a standard value. I can alway get close to it by putting some resistor in series.
It's amazing what 2 capacitors can do. Got the board to program the 27sf512 successfully.

Re: 28Cxxx EEPROM Programmer
The short on R10 could have damaged Q3. With no chip in the socket and no Arduino attached, put a ~4K resistor between the emitter of Q3 and ground, then pull the base of Q5 high (through its resistor!) and see what voltage you get.
And that voltage boost circuit is a big worry. There's no ...

Re: 28Cxxx EEPROM Programmer
Ic is fine, it reads and write in another programmer just fine. I've been cycling through 5 ic. Going to take a few days break from this. Got a video game console mod that I'm gonna focus on finishing.

Re: 28Cxxx EEPROM Programmer
remove the boost components on the shield and wired in a dc booster with an enable pin. Still no go.

this is the actual circuit. This circuit was not designed by me. so i don't have any answers.
Update: 2 things

Re: 28Cxxx EEPROM Programmer
Thanks BigEd, now i know.
Dwight, You would have to download the eagle schematic on page 8, my apology for not clarifying that. But yes, I am using an Arduino Leonardo as the programmer was designed to run on an Arduino Uno/Leonardo. I have already programmed the board to run a rgb led and it runs ...

Re: 28Cxxx EEPROM Programmer
Schematic is on page 8 and fourth post down. Polarity on the capacitors are correct. It is failing because it won't erase. So even though it says it wrote the data, it shows as nothing has changed.

Re: 28Cxxx EEPROM Programmer
Dwight, there is a charge pump circuit on the boards. Rpress has created the circuit to program the 27xXxX chips. It has worked before on their boards. I've double tripled check my traces and everything goes where it should. Next step would be my soldering. The caps and solder for them were exactly ...

Re: 28Cxxx EEPROM Programmer
I am using this programmer just to program the 27sf512 chips.
I have everything soldered on one board. Everything goes smoothly(had a finicky USB wire connecting to my Leonardo and uno) but i am getting a failure for the verifying part.

Re: 28Cxxx EEPROM Programmer
Just wanted to say thanks to rpress and marc to helping with the schematic on this programmer. I've made some boards based on the optimized version that rpress did.I also got it looking close to what unaclocker had. Haven't soldered anything yet but will this weekend.
Will report back when soldered ...
