Since so many projects seem to be using programmable logic, I decided to try my luck in replacing glue logic for my project.

Picked up a Verilog programming textbook from a local university, but was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on a good general purpose devices?

There are some "decent" I guess you can call them Japanese probes for 100Mhz floating around that are only about 30$, that is the type I use with my 10Mhz scope.

The Arduino Uno went from a FTDI chip to the Atmega8 to bridge the USB to UART connection.

Talking from the Arduino, pretending to be something else, I can make the system think I am any link of the puzzle. and in the video you'll see me working as the console I somewhat proudly display as disconnected from the system. :oops:
